CAELIUS was backed in from $2.30 to $1.60 last start when taking on1600m for the first time. Set alight from back in field a long way out, came very wide and only grabbed last 50m. Inside barrier here a big plus this track and looks a massive chance here. For the exotics NEWCOMBE slogged it out on a very wet track last start after being competitive in metro maidens over this trip on firmer tracks. FRENCH GIFT didn't settle on debut and can improve if drops his head. LEVERAGED BUYOUT and MOONBOLT definitely in the mix
