Other rules:Only final field runners subject to deductions
Selections: 3-6-4-7
On pace runners, 3, 5, 6, 10, 16. NUGGET SMART finished unplaced after he attempted to lead throughout within this distance range at Muswellbrook but dropping in class makes him suitably placed today. AYE AYE SKIPPER kept trying within this distance range at Port Macquarie after he had settled on the speed. He can maintain his form from an inside gate today. CARMINE must be forgiven for an unplaced first up effort at Port Macquarie when there were excuses. A step up from 1200m can already be regarded as a plus. OUTOFTHEOFFICE became unsuited in transit when his Taree effort was honest last start and stepping up from 1250m should now aid his cause.
