WALK LIKE A MAN was responsible for a most pleasing effort in defeat here at his home base second up when he was produced over this distance after a twenty-two day break. He started at double-figure odds on the day. This much quicker back-up will now be a plus. DON'S PARTY was solid when he stepped up into this distance range here, at only his second start in his first campaign. He has scope to improve. BEGRANO was beaten at short odds first up at Queanbeyan. He will however present race-fitter today. MERITAGE was also an acceptor for the Tuesday meeting at Goulburn. She can however play a prominent part in the finish if she's saved for this race instead.
