HOTCH POTCH ran a good race at Clare last week, finishing second to Crown And Anchor. Will need some luck though from a wide barrier though. VEE ROD stepped up to this trip on Thursday and was too strong for Starlite Rebel in the finish. PRINCESS ON PALM was just fair here Thursday but it was her first run on the track so she's likely to have taken benefit from it. NORMIE NO SHOW and PRANCING COUNTESS are others to consider.
