Tempo does appear strong in The Syndicate with nos.2, 4, 5, 6 & 8 all capable of making a statement early on. I'm not crazy on PAYLINE coming back from 1200m to 1100m however his form down south plus the likely soft run he'll get here suggests he's going to be very hard to hold out late particularly if the leaders cut at each other early. He ran down GOLDEN BOOM to win this race last year & a similar finish may be likely, GOLDEN BOOM draws horribly however we have seen him sit wide before & still prove a tough nut to crack. Wouldn't be surprised to see the stablemate KING KAPA improve sharply.
