Eight race card at Gatton. The good news is the BOM is saying warm or hot days leading and NO RAIN for the Sunshine State. This track will be getting upgrade after upgrade and should be soft by the time they get going. The bad news is they've overdone the emergency count on a couple of occasions hence race 3 and 4 are at best works in progress, impossible to assess properly until them unknowns are known. And not all horses have a rider! Hopefully common sense is knocking on someone's door! The industry needs a 'boss'. Someone who appreciates the lot of the punter and how their turnover keeps the wheels turning. Kick things off with an 860m QTIS 3yo Maiden Plate. Ten can run. As things stand three will be on debut, three will be 1st-up from a spell, three are 2nd-up so there's uncertainty re fitness levels. For the record I will suggest the widely drawn pair MISHANI ADIOS and MONTAGNOLA can give their rivals something to catch. Just want to see a ring of confidence in the market place, with either or both, otherwise 'all bets are off'.
