Track was given out as good on Wednesday morning, while the rain was pelting down. There is fine weather expected up to and on Saturday so we'll work around a good to slightly soft. Pace in the first should be okay for a 2520m race with Black Run and Our Chief going forward. NEARCO FROD has sat just off the speed and won his past two. He looks a good ride for Blake Shinn's return from a broken ankle. OUR CHIEF is a hardy on-pacer with claims. STOP THE ROCK was outsprinted last Saturday but he was sound late and his previous form was solid. TEMPESTI and BLACK RUN have place claims.
