STEELY MAN (6) is a talented gelding who tackled tougher grade last time, finishing 3 lengths behind Queen Zou over 1600m in the G2 Rich Hill Mile (ARC George Adams (Tattersall) Hcp) at this track. Very well placed in this company and looks hard to beat. THE PRECURSOR (7) was well supported when resuming last time out over 1600m at New Plymouth Raceway and proved too strong, scoring by 1.3 lengths. Will be better for that latest run and looks a big threat to the top selection. BIG WAVE (1) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 5 lengths away in tenth over 1500m at this track. Ideally placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. PEERLESS (13) is fitter for two runs back from a break. Turned in a better effort last time when sixth over 1600m at Matamata. Settles back early but winds up late. Can run on into the finish.
