YALDI (4) capped off some solid form with an overdue win here 5 weeks ago over 1300m. He is still nicely placed at the weights, and he is good enough to repeat the dose. UDERZO (2) also snapped his winning drought when scoring here by nearly a length a fortnight ago. He does not want it too heavy, and he should be right in the finish again. POKURU GOLD (3) failed to fire at Te Aroha on a very testing track, and his record on this course is very good. The only query is racing over 1400m for the first time, but he is worth another chance. MR MOJO RISIN' (1) lifted strongly late to bounce straight back into winning form at Whanganui last week. He is seasoned enough to cope with the quick backup, and with 1 career win racing in this direction, he will be looking to add to that tally here. GOSPODIN (5) has not won for some time, but as long as the track is heavy, he is always a top 4 threat.
