PROVENCE (1) was well ridden to score by a nose in the G1 Mufhasa Classic at Trentham 7 weeks ago, and is now at the top of the weights in a strong field. She is unbeaten over this shorter trip of 1400m on this course, and she can repeat the dose. MARY SHAN (2) made it 3 wins from 4 starts this prep when winning the G3 Great Northern Challenge Stakes by a short-head here 8 weeks ago. She has trialled since then and has won 3 times over this distance. If the track is wet, then she can make it a hat-trick of wins in this. ROMILLY (8) needed both of her starts back from a spell, and proved to be too strong third up here just over 3 weeks ago, scoring by half a length. She cops a tougher gate in a better field here, but she is good enough to win again. MOSCHINO (10) has been having no luck with her draw this season but is holding her form, including a last start win here nearly 2 week ago. She steps up in class, but her usual honest effort can still be expected.
