Small numbers going around in our distance race this afternoon with Highland Kitty & Taravia the most likely to set the tempo which isn't strong on paper. Well, what can I say, after a long & frustrating run of mostly placings CAPTAIN MAVERICK finally broke through last start for a well-deserved win, can he repeat the performance today? He ran down TARAVIA & they meet once again here with a 1.5kg turnaround for the narrow margin between the pair so he's a definite chance of turning the tables. We also have KENMARE BAY coming up from NSW who has superior form lines, he's the one for me.
