SPIRIT OF TORQUE looks a nice way to start Melbourne Cup day at Doomben. Battled on well in the small field when placed here last start and that form looks a bit better than these. JUST SAY VALE had some late support at Eagle Farm on debut. She did get going late and finished midfield. Drawn perfectly and she looks a danger. TISANI JAMES took on a much better race last start and did not measure up. Back to maiden class and this a winnable race while NOTES OF AUTUMN was not disgraced at Gatton last start and she is a must for first four players.
