ANIMAL and PHINEAS clashed in a strong maiden at Sandown 2 weeks ago. Both ran well with a length between them over the line. ANIMAL covered ground while PHINEAS went back in an on pace race from a wide draw. Lean slightly to PHINEAS this time thinking he can settle much closer from gate 1. He gets blinkers for the first time. LOWESTOFT looks ready to win. She was strong through the line at 1400m 2nd up behind an impressive new-comer. No surprise all three debutantes start at 1600m. Jump out performances for all are mixed but their best ones are certainly good enough to think they can be competitive. Liked SNOBBERY's latest over 1400m against horses who are much better than maiden grade.
