JIMMY BEANS went back from wide draw and got a mile off the pace when Zamparini Spirit bolted seven lengths clear. Liked the chase and ran best last sectionals any runner apart from last 200 (winner) and wide margin to third. Time was 7 lengths quicker than maiden. NOTHIN' WONG HERE resumes at the long trip, but luckless debut 1765m when wide and no cover. Went close next run when odds on. First two came clear, and protested against winner. Strong jump out win over 1200m on good ground allays fears of the wet track profile. BEST TIME wanted to lay in last start, but still wanted to find the line so extra trip will help, as well as extra fitness. SHAW CAN FLY trialled better on dry track at Geelong over 1500m when went forward, and uses his body like a stayer. Lost a tooth on debut when met trouble at start so best to forgive the run.
