SPANISH LAD (3) has been disappointing since winning fresh up on this track. He meets a small field here, and with the benefit of a 6-week gap between runs, we think he is the one to beat. LERADO (2) cost himself a top 3 finish when missing the kick here nearly 3 weeks ago. This is his pet trip, and with a slight fitness edge over the top pick, he should be the main threat. WHAT A YARN (1) lunched late and got up by a nose at Ruakaka just over 2 weeks ago, and his record on this track is solid, and from a good gate, he should be right in the finish. KASUKEDO (4) has been a model of consistency in similar races through the winter, and in a small field from the pole position, he can figure in the top 3 again. TARZADOR (5) can't finish worse than fifth, but in racing you never know.
