Ballarat conditions were ranked Soft 7 at acceptance time after rain had swept through midweek. There is perhaps a little more on Friday morning still to come but 15 degrees and some sun poking through for raceday is a positive and I dare say we will be racing in that Soft range come 12:25PM on Sunday. It's a mile Maiden that gets us started. 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 all had other options. No compelling rain-affected form from any of these as yet. SEABORN and ROYAL MAXIMUS both right in the market but out of the placings on debut. Can see both being open to significant improvement here but they do switch from dry.
