CEYLON GEMS (6) resumes. Wasn't far away at the only run last time in work, finishing fourth over 1800m at this track four months ago. Backmarker who keeps coming. One of the leading chances. SCHON STIER (10) made a strong late bid but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 1800m at Niigata. Should be near her peak for this. This is a nice drop in grade so she all set to go one better. POD ROLF (8) finished second at Chukyo two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1600m at Nakayama, finishing 3.5 lengths back in sixth. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. GO GO TAKASHI (4) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 1800m at Niigata after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well.
