NORARI KURARI (4) continued the good recent form when he finished just 2.75 lengths away in third last time out over 2400m at Kyoto. Will drift back but wind up late. Overdue for a win. Likely to prove hard to hold out. TIMUR (3) won't get a better chance to score. Just can't seem to win - going over three years since last success. Has placed 7/9 course and distance so expected to be in the finish yet again. VISION MAKER (5) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 2200m at Nakayama, beaten 2.5 lengths. Fitter so expect a better run this time. SHIMASAN BLACK (6) returned from a spell three weeks ago when he was beaten 2.5 lengths into ninth over 2600m at Kokura. Fitter and sure to run well.
