CHUWA CHIEF (7) was decisive in 3yo+ COND grade at Morioka Dirt, scoring by six lengths as a short odds-on favourite, and his prior record at this track and distance keeps him firmly in the winning discussion. BRETWALDA (3) has returned in excellent order, winning two back before finishing third, beaten just over a length, at Niigata Dirt; the only reservation is translating that 1800m form back to this trip. ARARE TABASHIRU (4) has been runner-up at both runs this campaign, beat Bretwalda home last time, and gets another chance to turn consistent form into a win.
