POISON NOIR (4) turned in a fine effort to win by 0.8 lengths at this track and distance when resuming from a spell last time out. Meets some better types this time but she has the talent to test this line-up. CAT DAY (6) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing second and beaten only half a length over 1200m at this track after being in contention on the bend. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she is up to the challenge. SAKABEN QUEEN (14) doesn't win very often but ran a nice race last time out over 1000m at this track, finishing second and beaten 2.5 lengths. Nicely placed to run well.
