Zac Purton steps into the irons for the first time, and he can repeat the dose. SWIFT ASCEND (1) turned in a nice effort last time out at the second run of the campaign when he made late ground and finished close up in third over 1200m at this track. Finds a suitable assignment and can take the next step and take this out. ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (9) finished fifth last time out over 1200m on turf here. He should be suited to racing on an all-weather surface for the first time, and he cannot be taken lightly, especially with only 53kg to carry. BLAZING WIND (7) returns from a 5-week freshen up after finishing fourth at this track last time out. He has won a trial since then, and will be hard to hold out in this. Each way value.
