SUNDAY'S SERENADE (1) kept coming but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 1650m at Happy Valley. Placed to advantage, and with Zac Purton in the saddle, he is the one to beat. BETTER AND BETTER (10) was given a short break after finishing fourth over 1400m at this track. Subsequently scored a good trial win at SHA TIN AW. He is capable of taking them all the way here. THE HEIR (3) settled well back from a wide draw last time, then wound up strongly to finish sixth over 1200m at Happy Valley. The extra ground looks like a big plus, and he can figure in the top 4 here. PROUD BOX (9) has not had much luck since his third on debut, and the step up in trip is ideal. He is expected to finish a lot closer this time. RAGING RAPIDS (5) was out of the money two runs back then, again missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 2.5 lengths into fourth. He can settle closer to the pace this time, and he is worth including in all combos.
