COPARTNER A I (5) sets the standard after two starts for two placings at this track, most recently beaten a neck by Kol when he stayed on strongly over 1200m. He is still a maiden, but he's showing promising signs and with a touch of luck, he can get the job done. SPEEDY POWER (13) is the clear danger with Purton taking over after a first-up third, beaten just under a length by E Ho Ho when storming late. Drawn much better this time and he makes plenty of appeal down in the weights. GLORY PATCH (8) was sound on debut at big odds, making good late ground when fifth behind Let's Have Fun, and the 2kg weight relief gives him scope to improve quickly. CAVAMAZING (3) must be respected after winning first-up from Ka Ying Radiance, with the winning rider staying aboard. Was big odds there, but it's a figure that commands respect in this field.
