ARTOIS (7) led into the straight last start over 1200m at this track but could not sustain the pressure and finished ninth. Should park just off the speed despite the draw. Likely to feature. PACIFIC HAWK (11) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished eighth when fresh from a spell two starts back at this track then improved and scored over 1200m at this track two weeks ago, getting home by 0.8 lengths. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. BANKER'S BEAUTIFUL (4) proved too strong two runs ago but was less impressive last time out when 11th over 1600m at this track, beaten 12 lengths. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
