TAGANO ARALIA (18) turned in a fair effort in the G3 Aoi Stakes at Kyoto over 1200m at his last run 12 weeks ago, finishing seventh and beaten 2.75 lengths. Has ability and should be right in the finish. CEFIRO (6) was narrowly beaten at her latest appearance in the G2 Keio Hai Spring Cup at Tokyo over 1400m four months ago. Rates highly on that performance and should take some beating. TAGANO ELPIDA (8) turned in a nice run when fresh from a spell two starts back at Kyoto then missed the placings last time when 5.5 lengths from the winner in 12th over 1600m in the G3 Shirasagi Stakes at Hanshin. Can bounce back to her best form. YABUSAME (3) last appeared when he finished eighth over 1400m in the Listed Azuchijo Stakes at Kyoto on May 31. Best form stacks up so worth some thought.
