GOLDEN STEP (13) filled a minor prize two back at Tokyo then again ran a good race to finish second last time out, beaten 0.8 lengths, in a maiden steeplechase (3000m) at Chukyo. Major player again. MAR D'IRLANDA (5) wasn't far away when resuming from a layoff last start, beaten a neck into second in a maiden steeplechase (3000m) at Chukyo. Normally hard to beat with the run under the belt, with two wins and two placings from five second-up runs. Has ability and can play a role again. AWESOME STROKE (9) did a reasonable job when he finished third in a maiden steeplechase (2750m) at Fukushima two runs back. Less effective last time when 8 lengths away in fourth in a maiden steeplechase (2850m) at this track. Sure to be thereabouts. MEISHO BREGUET (4) finished ninth two back in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at this track then again missed out in a maiden steeplechase (2860m) at Kokura last time. Worth serious consideration.
