Close to a win. WILL STATE (8) made his debut last start and was just fair in finishing fourth at Niigata over 1400m, beaten 6 lengths. Shapes as one to consider with the race experience now on board. NINA LARGO (3) could only manage fourth on debut then improved last start but found one better over 1800m at Sapporo, beaten half a length. Looks to be in the right race so expect another big run.
