PIKO ROSE (14) drifted well back but wound up powerfully to just miss latest over 1400m at Tokyo when fresh from a spell. Top rider aboard and can go one better. SUCCESS CALLA (4) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2 lengths when sixth in a 1400m contest at Tokyo four weeks ago. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. MEISHO YOZORA (6) was in the money two starts back at this track but was unable to repeat the effort last time when ninth, beaten 5 lengths, at Kyoto over 1800m. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. METAL SPEED (7) has not appeared since he finished 11th over 1600m at Tokyo on October 12. One to consider.
