PIKO RED (6) is back at the races for the first time since October 11. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1200m at this track. Has found a suitable race to launch this campaign. BARJEEL (13) is putting together some solid results. Finished second at Monbetsu two starts back then landed the prize by 6 lengths as public elect last time out over 1200m at Funabashi. Stepping up to the JRA now but another win is not out of the question. SILFLAY (1) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 15 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 1200m at this track, beaten 7 lengths. Can play a role in this suitable race. PEPPER MILL (3) was beaten 2.5 lengths into fourth in a 1200m contest at Chukyo Dirt at his latest appearance. Likely improver with strong top three prospects.
