Cherry ripe after two runs back from a spell and will take catching. TAISEI RICORDO (11) finished ninth over 2000m at Listed level at Hanshin at his most recent appearance on March 22. Finds a much easier assignment today and comes here with definite claims. LAYERED RED (7) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 7 lengths when fifth in a 2200m contest at Chukyo three weeks ago after being in the firing line on the turn. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. DUCATO (10) returned from a spell three weeks ago when he was beaten 6 lengths into ninth over 1800m at this track. Fitter so expect a better run this time.
