This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is right in contention. HAKUSAN PIONEER (5) showed good early dash and led throughout to score by half a length last time out over 1400m at Kanazawa. H Yoshihara who has nine wins when partnering stays on. Expecting a bold showing. HAKUSAN BIRD (10) finished fourth when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1500m at Kanazawa, beaten 7 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Meeting a deeper field this time but he has the ability to mix it with them. STEEL ACTOR (3) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 11 lengths away in eighth over 920m at this track. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
