SHIMBO (3) returns from a spell. Finished 11th at this track and distance at his only appearance last prep five-and-a-half months ago. Has found a suitable race to kick off the campaign. KEIAI PURPLE (5) is having his first run since November 9. Goes well when fresh with five wins and two placings from 12 starts. Will be hard to stop. NISHIKEN BOB (7) returns from a layoff of five-and-a-half months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1800m at this venue. Has to be respected.
