COELI VENTO (4) was sent out at long odds last time but ran above expectations to finish second, beaten only a neck, over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. Drawn to enjoy a nice run just off the lead. Leading contender. SISTEMA SOLAR (6) turned in a nice effort last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just half a length from the winner in second over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt after being in the firing line on the bend. Likely improver with strong prospects. LORD AMALFI (14) took advantage of the good draw last start and led for much of the way before finishing third, beaten 2 lengths, over 1800m at this track. Top-three hope. OTSUKA (16) has not raced since he scored over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt on March 15. A bold showing is expected.
