BLOSSOM SPEAR (3) sets the standard after being sent out favourite on debut at Hanshin and finishing third, beaten a long neck, in a 2yo NEWCOMER. He tracked the speed and lengthened into the placing, which gives him the most immediate winning profile, even with 1600m still to be proven. RAY QUEEN (8) is the obvious danger and brings the cleanest exposed consistency, with two placings from two starts and a half-length second to Break Girl last time. JONG GOD (7) is the rebound runner: he was odds-on on debut at Kokura but faded into eighth, so the market respect, strong stable profile and breeding keep him in the mix if he returns sharper. KISHIGE HERO (4) was fourth at Hanshin at big odds on debut, beaten just over three lengths, and that race experience gives him a sound place-to-winning bridge if he finds a stronger finish second-up.
