COSMO BLACK (2) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to just miss when second over 1800m at this track. Watch for another barnstorming finish. MAGIC FIRE (7) is back after a break of 12 weeks. At the last run before the layoff he finished sixth over 2000m at Kyoto. Hard to beat if back in good order as anticipated. MEISHO SOTEN (9) resumed after a 90-day spell last start but failed to finish at this track. Forgive the recent mishap; deserves another chance. HAKUAI TOWER (8) turned in another moderate effort last start when 6 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1900m at this track. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
