Likely improver who probably won't find this as tough so he should be in the finish again. CHAMPAGNE STAR (6) improved last start to finish third over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt after being in contention on the corner. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. LUCKY VOGUE (13) did little and finished 6 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1200m at Kyoto Dirt last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at Kyoto Dirt the run before. Finds a nice race and can play a significant role. UPTURN DAY (14) stepped out on his debut over 1400m at Niigata eight weeks ago and finished tenth, beaten 6 lengths. Worth following up.
