TAGANO BARCOS (8) made a strong return from a layoff last time out in a maiden steeplechase (3000m) at Tokyo, finishing third when partnered by today's jockey J Takada. Can feature again after that bright return. DRAGUIGNAN (12) opened the campaign with a respectable third in a maiden steeplechase (2970m) at Hanshin then last start kept the ball rolling when third in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata 56 days ago. Leading contender again. GASTON (3) was responsible for a nice effort last time out when he finished third on his jumps debut in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. Can make his presence felt.
