NARITA SHIN (1) returns from a layoff of three-and-a-half months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1230m at Sonoda. Capable of playing a major role. DON ACHEKA (2) finished third at Sonoda two runs back but was less effective last time over 1400m at this track, finishing back in sixth. Taking on a better line-up this time but can play a major role. HINODE TEIO (6) was last at the races when he finished seventh over 1700m at Sonoda on December 11. Makes plenty of appeal fresh. VATRENI (8) was a disappointing tenth over 1400m at Sonoda five weeks ago. Better than recent efforts suggest and worth consideration here.
