VILLA JOVIS (13) progressed nicely last time out to finish just one length from the winner in second over 2600m at this track after being in the firing line on the bend. Placed 2/2 here and only try course and distance. Overdue and should go close. TAKERU FOCUS (4) was in the money at Niigata when resuming two runs back then could only manage fifth at Hanshin over 1800m three weeks ago. Great chance to break through. HARUNO AME (15) has been thereabouts of late including last time out when he closed nicely at the end of 2000m at this track to finish fifth Should appreciate the longer journey this time. DADDY'S SWORD (14) resumes from a spell of five months. Could only manage to finish seventh at the latest run over 2400m at Kyoto. Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise.
