FORTUNE ROSE (2) wasn't far off maiden success before a nine-week break, finishing second over 2600m at Fukushima at the only run of that preparation. Re-unites with Kiwamu Ogino. Sure to go very well. DERMA FUJI (15) last appeared ten weeks ago when a minor placegetter over 2400m at Hanshin. Did a reasonable job to finish fifth over 2000m when fresh last prep. Has ability and is a solid chance. QUANTUM STAR (6) resumes from a spell of five months. Made up a stack of ground to finish fourth at the latest run over 2000m at Nakayama. Lightly raced and looks a great chance to break through. NORI MARU (8) is a seven-start maiden who finished fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 2400m at Niigata. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration.
