CRIMSON LEAF (15) is still a maiden after eight starts. Could only manage to finish fourth last time out over 2100m at Tokyo Dirt following a minor placing at Tokyo Dirt over 2100m the run prior. Can break through in this suitable contest. SANGRANT (14) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt, beaten 5.5 lengths into fourth. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. HEROIC VERSE (2) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on April 25, finishing 13th and beaten 9 lengths over 2000m at Fukushima. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. ARTICULATE (6) finished third last time over 1700m at this track when resuming from a spell, beaten 3.5 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again.
