LAY CLASSIC (3) is a class act who resumes after a break of 11 weeks. At her last appearance she finished sixth over 2400m in the G1 Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks) at Tokyo, beaten 1.3 lengths. Has never been out of the placings first-up. Should be too good for this field. The only realistic threat is A SHIN BEACON (2) who didn't do a bad job when second last start over 1800m at Kokura, beaten 2 lengths. That followed a win at Kyoto the start prior. Should give a good account. ZENNO INVOKE (5) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 31 starts. Was again denied last start when he found a couple better over 1800m at Kokura. Top three claims. WONDER DERRIERE (4) returned from a spell six days ago when she was beaten 8 lengths into 14th over 2000m at this track. Best of the rest but couldn't possibly win.
