VAN LIBERTY (1) finished tenth at this track two runs ago before finishing sixth at his latest appearance over 2200m at Ascot Park Raceway, beaten 12 metres. Will enjoy a nice run from this favourable starting position. Meets a comparable field and he can figure in the finish. Has placed in four of nine starts here. BAUTISTA (2) from a wide draw did well to finish third at his most recent outing, beaten 3.5 metres, in a far better performance at Wingatui over 2200m. Likely to get all the favours from this nice draw. Has the class to take care of this field. BOMBAY GLACIER (11) is worth another chance after a last-start tenth over 2200m at Ascot Park Raceway two-and-a-half weeks ago after having placeed second in both of her two previous runs. JENNY GUMP (7) is worth some thought after her last-start fourth over 2200m at Ascot Park Raceway on November 26.
