LEWIELEWIS (11) was responsible for a very good effort last time over 2240m at Swan Hill, finishing second and just 1.2 metres from the winner. No favours expected from this draw. This doesn't look as hard so he is a major player. VILLAGE VOICE (7) has been racing very well of late and went close again last time over 1660m at Hamilton, finishing third and 5.5 metres from the winner. Has to contend with a very wide draw. This should be an easier assignment so she is in the right race to return to the winners' list. SPOOK CROCKER (5) is the next elect off a last-start win by 15 metres at Mt Gambier over 1780m. CALEDONIAN RANGER (12) could only finish sixth over 1145m at Cranbourne most recently. Open to improvement and is in the mix.
