PINNY NOIR (7) resumes after finishing fifth at his latest appearance at Gloucester Park on January 16. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a major role. UP AND ALIVE (12) turned in an out-of-character effort last time out when 12 metres away in sixth over 2242m at Narrogin. Form prior to that had been solid. Hard to know where she gets from this slightly awkward draw. Meets a comparable field and she can figure in the finish. AMBITSIYA (11) ended last prep with a 12th at Gloucester Park over 2130m three-and-a-half months ago. Can open this campaign with a more positive effort. BET ON THE RIVER (6) is the best of the rest after finishing fifth over 2130m at Gloucester Park last time out.
