SHALLOW BEACH (7) finished third last start over 1680m at Launceston, beaten 6 metres, after a good win at Carrick the run prior. Will need a bit of luck negotiating a very wide starting position. Finds a nice race and can return to winning form. MY BAD (1) finished sixth last start, beaten 24 metres at Launceston over 2200m. Capable of playing a major role from the pegs draw so has to be respected. DONE WELL (3) broke last start but still managed to fill a minor placing over 1892m at Burnie, finishing a head from the winner. That was a pleasing progression after missing the placings the run before. Likely to get all the favours from this nice draw and rates a live chance again in a similar assignment. GOBSMACKED (8) has been about the mark of late and must be respected, the latest offering a sound fifth at Launceston over 1680m. Top-three contender.
