SUNSET STRIDE (5) is back from a break of five-and-a-half months and looks to be right up to the mark following a recent trial win. Well-placed to take this out. AMERICAN HAMMER (9) has been competitive of late and kept the ball rolling last time when 1.4 metres from the winner in second over 1720m at Penrith. Can settle just behind them and wait on the sprint lane. Meets a comparable field and he is a strong winning hope. PLAYA BLANCA (1) is better than her last-start seventh over 1720m at Penrith. Worth another chance. MIKIBEQUICK (8) could only finish seventh over 1740m at Riverina Paceway most recently. Open to improvement and is in the mix.
