CAPTAINS CREEK (9) made it three wins in a row at the most recent appearance, getting home by a head over 2130m at this track. Has to contend with a very wide draw but meets a comparable field so he is capable of getting the job done again. THE BETTOR SIDE (5) had to dig deep to score last time out over 2100m at Bunbury, getting home by just a neck. Tackles a similar assignment and he can salute once again. SEBASTIAN JAMES (6) ended last prep with a seventh here over 2130m nine months ago. Can open this campaign with a much more positive effort. IT IS CRUNCH TIME (10) must be included on the back of some solid recent form, most recently when fourth at Pinjarra over 2185m. One for the exotics players.
