Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he has the ability to mix it with them. TINEY (5) settled close to the pace and finished well but could only manage second last start over 1800m here, failing to emulate his success at this circuit the run before. Meets a similar line up and he can play a big role. MONTY MONTE (4) was in the money two starts ago then things went amiss last start when he broke and finished a long last over 1800m at this venue. If he brings his Mitch Manners a big run is likely. DUTCH TEACHER (1) last appeared when eighth over 2160m at Victor Harbor four-and-a-half months ago. Expect a better effort to kick off this prep.
