FRIZZA (10) is taking on a far easier race this time after finishing seventh in a Group One at his latest appearance over 1730m at Bathurst, beaten 14 metres by Message Bank. Sure to prove hard to beat. STRANGER EFFECT (8) put the writing on the wall two runs ago then improved further last time out when he scored by 1.2 metres over 1720m at this track. Drawn to enjoy a nice run, with luck possibly playing a role at some point. Must raise the bar but another win is not out of the question. STORMY MAL (1) is heading the right way, improving last time out to finish third here over 1720m. Genuine threat from the pegs draw. YARRAMAN TILLY (9) is worth plenty of thought off a last-start win by 8 metres at Parkes over 1660m.
